The Gathering Church is an Anglican church plant in Spartanburg, SC. We gather to worship the Lord, experience the depth and richness of His love and goodness, share authentic life together daily, and proclaim the gospel in love and truth in our community. For more about who we sense God has called us to be, please see our Vision and Values.
The Rev. Mike Myers, Pastor
Mike and Ellen Myers met at Denver Seminary and were married in 2008. Ellen grew up in Cincinnati, OH, and Mike is originally from Johnsonville, SC. After Mike’s ordination in 2014, they moved from Colorado Springs to Murrells Inlet, SC, where Mike served as an associate and youth pastor. During their time in Murrells Inlet, God clarified and confirmed a call to church plant that had been stirring for several years. After much prayer, it became clear God was leading the Myers and others to Spartanburg to plant The Gathering Church. In early 2018, Mike and Ellen started Vista Pressure Washing which provides an additional means for engaging the community and supporting the family. The Myers are excited to be in Spartanburg connecting with their neighbors, playing outside, and growing in love and faith as a family.
Aaron Harp, Worship Minister

Aaron and his wife Chelsea and three daughters moved to Spartanburg during the summer of 2020 and found a church home at The Gathering Church. Aaron has been involved in church music since he was young and has a passion for leading God’s people in congregational song. He is a professor at Wofford College where he directs choirs, teaches voice lessons, and other courses in the music department. Natives of Texas, the Harps most recently lived in Colorado while Aaron was completing his doctorate at the University of Colorado Boulder. They enjoy exploring the outdoors, playing board games, eating good food, and spending time with family and friends.
Robin LeRoy, Church Administrator

Robin and her husband Louis have lived in Spartanburg for 26 years. They love this community, have raised both their children here, and consider it home. Robin began attending The Gathering Church about 2 years ago, and now she and Louis have put down roots in the church. They are thrilled to worship with their son, Connor, and daughter-in-law, Tori. Robin has always been involved in some type of administration or financials during her career. She enjoys the challenge of organizing things and making sure everything balances! As she enters this new phase of her life, she is looking forward to spending more time with friends and family and visiting her two granddaughters in California. One of her main goals for any work she does now is that it will glorify God, and working at The Gathering Church is a wonderful way to do that. She and her family enjoy watching movies, traveling, cooking and eating good food, doing puzzles, and playing with her two cats Milo and Gary.
